The head office, engineering and manufacturing facilities are located at Woodville North in South Australia.

In the automotive industry, Clyde-Apac is well known for its capabilities in the manufacture and assembly of original-equipment vehicle jacks. The company is recognised as a world-class producer of other pressed automotive components and value-added assemblies. Items such as strikers, hinge brackets and other discrete components are produced for various local and export customers.

Clyde-Apac produces a wide range of materials-handling products including Lemcol castors and wheels, conveyors and special drum-handling equipment.

Clyde-Apac is a major manufacturer of specialised air filtration and contamination-control equipment for industry, health care and science. The company is the leading Australian laminar flow laboratory equipment manufacturer, and has developed export markets in more than twenty-five countries. Industrial dust-collection products are produced as self-contained units and as large, purpose-engineered bag-house systems.

Clyde-Apac's manufacturing base has been developed over many years with a continuing program of updating plant, equipment and processes. Today, the factory is well equipped to provide a wide range of high-volume manufacturing and assembly techniques.

In 1923, Clyde-Apac commenced business in Adelaide, South Australia as the Automobile Parts & Accessory Company Limited (Apac). During the early years, the company designed and manufactured a wide range of garage servicing equipment such as car and truck hoists, wheel alignment equipment, brake rebuilding machines, hydraulic presses and air compressors. In addition, Apac developed a wide range of mechanical jacks for use in garages and at kerbsides.

As business expanded, Apac moved in 1929 to a larger plant in Port Adelaide. This was at a time when the company was enjoying increasing success in supplying jacks as original equipment to Australia's developing vehicle industry. New products continued to flow, including a comprehensive range of hydraulic jacks. By 1939, Apac had built a substantial manufacturing base that was expanded with the addition of a new product line of materials-handling equipment. This was the start of the well-known and respected Lemcol range of industrial castors, wheels and associated equipment.

In 1946, the company moved again; this time to its present location, to meet the needs of expanding domestic and export markets. Apac was the first South Australia company to win the coveted Australian Export Award. 1954 was a year of change when Apac became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Clyde Industries Group. Later, the change of name to Clyde-Apac coincided with a change in marketing emphasis, concentrating equally on both its Automotive and Materials Handling Divisions.

In the early 1970s, the Environmental Products Division was established to handle the manufacture and marketing of air filtration and contamination-control products.

1997 saw the acquisition of Clyde Industries by the large Australian engineering group, Evans Deakin Industries Limited. Then in late-2001 Clyde-Apac became part of the EAH Air Handling Pty Ltd group of companies - providing a renewed focus and direction. This has also strengthened Clyde-Apac's national branch network, with manufacturing facilities in operation in all major population centres across Australia.

Clyde-Apac is committed to supplying technically advanced equipment, incorporating the latest technology, and that is designed and manufactured to comply with stringent Australian and international standards.
